Best Protein Berry Smoothie Recipe

Have you ever gone to a cafe and ordered a smoothie, only to find that it was just berry syrup and milk... I have and they are always so disappointing!


I have the best and simplest berry smoothie recipe ever. And the bonus is it contains 20grams of protein as well.


All you'll need is:

Handful of mixed berries

5 ice cubes (depending on the size of your blender)

One scoop of protein powder (this will get your 20grams of protein in)

Half a banana (if it is frozen you can skip the ice cubes if you like)

Then add water two thirds of the way


Now all you need to do is blend it up.

Want to make it creamier ?

All you need to do is add one tablespoon of yoghurt - I normally steal one of my son‘s berry yoghurts and add that (it blends in really well) or you can use a plain greek yoghurt. The yoghurt isn't an essential just a bonus addition.


This smoothie is my go to when I am in a rush or wanting a filling drink. I am not a protein shake drinker so I use this smoothie recipe to up my protein intake while also getting in my fruits for the day. If you'd like to mix up this recipe you can always change the berries for different fruit. However I would recommend keeping in the banana as it creates the smooth and creamy texture.
