What our Classes are like

SOCIAL, AFFORDABLE, SMALL GROUP CLASSES

 

At Active Core we offer social and affordable Mat Pilates classes based in Meeanee, Napier.

We hold small classes of 8 students per class so everyone is able to get the help they need during every session. Each class is 45 minutes long and run by a trained Pilates instructor - Jessica Newcomb.

Every second month we do an equipment based workout month. This included Pilates Rings, small ball and resistants bands as well as dumbbells. I rotate equipment based workouts every second month and general mat on the other to spice things up for my regulars and continue to keep everyone progressing throughout their Pilates journey.

For those that wish to do Pilates at home I also have an Online studio where you can do our workouts at home or while you are away on holiday. If you would like to find out more about this please get in touch or check out the Online page.

Hi, I'm Jess – a fitness and rehab expert with diplomas in Pilates, Sport, and Recreation. At Active Core, I've crafted a judgment-free space for all ages and fitness levels to enjoy Pilates at their own pace. Join us for a social and uplifting workout experience!

I recently enrolled in the Active Core online Studio Pilates class I found the classes very easy to understand and follow, and what I found really good was the variety of levels and classes, the online class is shorter than the studio class but if I wanted to do more it was easy to switch to another class. I would recommend this as a good option for anyone who wishes to do Pilates at home.
